TV SET

A TV production company hired me to remodel their studio set. his old TV set. They wanted to change the look of the program and to adapt the set to people with limited mobility.

The TV programme was about anonymous people who had lived a special life. I thought that it could be amazing to show their lives on big screens.

In this scale model we can see the project idea; we work with 2x2x0,5 metre prismatic pieces. Each  built with consisting of a metallic structure and covered with medium density fibreboard panels and ¿or? rear projections screens. that These boxes are easy to assemble in the workshop and easy to build in the studio.

(The problem in this sentence was 'that', and I wasn't sure if it referred to the projection screens being able to be assembled easily or the actual boxes, and I thought you meant the boxes. And a new sentence always clarifies)

With the repetition of the prismatic pieces we built a big wall that created the  backdrop for the shots. I tried to resolve the three kinds of shots (general, medium and short ¿close-up?) with only one gesture; action the repetition of the blocks.
 

We needed three sets for this TV programme:

• an interview set with a door behind that would allow the possibility of surprising the guest. to surprise the principal actor of the story
• a performance set with steps to go down the scene and a platform for shadow play.                  
• a central set where all the stories ends with the tribute of all the people in  the studio.

Zurich Insurance, Seville

Winterthur Buildings is located on Avenida La Palmera or 'Palm Avenue', a low density area to the south of Seville. The plan of the building is rectangular with the offices arranged around a services and circulation core. Our office interior design, for Zurich Insurance, was inserted into a second floor in the southeast of the complex.

The main entrance is loaded with symbolism. Not only is the artificial lighting concealed behind polycarbonate ceiling but it also pours down in the wall in front of visitors. This visual axis coincides with the symmetry of the plan.

The entrance space, workspace and private offices flow into each creating a feeling of openness. However, not all space in the office is of equal importance. Spatial hierarchy determines the users´ experiences of the relationships between space. For example, the meeting rooms are orientated to take advantage of south light, but they are separated for privacy.

Workspace

The lightly tinted glass walls filter natural light into all space, but previously natural lights is stream by an exterior screen of columns. The office is facing the specific horizontal green urban landscape which provide an appeased backdrop to clerks. Natural light is abundant.

Natural light is abundant. The office faces the large green gardens (an attractive backdrop for the employees) and is flooded with light. The lightly tinted glass walls filter the light and are protected by an exterior screen of columns.

Floor Plan

Essential office services such as climate control and artificial lighting were inserted in the polished white metal ceiling and the plaster perimeter ceiling bands. The white surfaces of the interior enhance the purity of the  space and contrast with the rough-textured granite cladding on the exterior.

Winterthur buildings is located in Palmera avenue, low density area in the south of Seville. Office interior design was inserted into a second floor in the southeastern of complex. The plan of the building is a rectangular shape which is articulated  from a central area. Zurich insurance office ocupied the middle south  of plan.
